Get ready to put the OM in Shalom with Shabbat Yoga. AKA Shabboga. By moving their bodies and focusing their minds, children cultivate balance & strength, improve their emotional self-regulation, and plant the seeds for a positive relationship with their bodies that they will continue to flourish for years to come. We will work on paying attention to what we’re feeling inside of our individual bodies as well as use yoga-inspired games to practice working together as a team. Knowing who you are is the first step to understanding how to be with others! We may also incorporate mindful artwork and calming crafts like glitter jars. In preparation for Shabbat, each class will be themed around embodying a different Jewish value – we find Ometz (Courage) in Warrior pose, Tza’ar Ba’alei Chayim (Protect Animals) in Butterfly pose, and Sh’mirat Ha-Teva (Protect Nature) in Tree pose. Join us as we have a blast connecting our bodies and mind.
