Financial Assistance

Financial Aid

We believe everyone should have access to participate in our community, regardless of financial need. Awards of financial assistance are made possible for community members by generous contributions to the Shalom Austin Annual Campaign. Financial aid is distributed based on availability of funds and eligibility of your household. If you would like to learn more about financial aid, please reach out to us at financialaid@shalomaustin.org.

YOUTH THEATRE

Our youth theatre program, for children ages 5-12, builds confidence, inspires creativity, and helps bring out the performer in children. Each semester, children in the program rehearse and put on a musical performance for the community.

The Big One-Oh! Online Edition

Price: $300 JCC Member | $350 Non-Member
Rehearsals: Mondays, 4-5PM on Zoom
Ages: K-6

Charley Maplewood has never been one for parties - that would require friends, which he doesn't have. Well, unless you count his monster friends, but they're only imaginary. But now that he's turning ten - the big one-oh - he decides to throw a birthday party for himself, complete with a "House of Horrors" theme. Of course, things don't work out as he plans. Will Charley be able to pull it together before the big one-oh . . . becomes the big OH-NO!?

“Beats” Music Technology

EDM, R&B and Hip-Hop, Pop, Country… many genres and artists use beat programming software to produce music. This software is a new musical instrument whose musicians must be able to manipulate the program, have a solid understanding of music theory, math skills, and have opportunities to practice and create. Explore recording techniques through Ableton software, learn basic music production and songwriting techniques, learn collaboration while working towards an end goal and apply music theory and basic instrumentation to technical skills.
