Babysitting at the JCC

Babysitting services are available to JCC Members while they are in the Sports & Fitness Facility. The Babysitting Room is open to children age 8 weeks to 8 years. Parents are encouraged to make reservations—spaces are limited. Call (512) 735-8000 up to one week in advance to reserve a slot.

Babysitting Room Hours: Sunday-Friday 8 a.m – 1 p.m.

Babysitting Policies

Available to members (not guests) while they are inside the gates of the Dell Jewish Community Campus.  

At least one parent must be on campus at all times when their child is in J Kids Club.

  • Hours: Sunday - Friday, 8 AM - 1 PM
  • Ages Served: Available to children ages 8 weeks (current shots) to 8 years old.
  • Food: No food allowed due to allergies. Children can bring water, milk, or juice in a closed sippy cup. Infants under 1 year may bring store bought baby food pouches. Bottles, sippy cups, diaper bags, and toys should be labeled with the child?s name.
  • Health: Sick children are not allowed in the babysitting room. Children must also be up to date on all their immunizations and shots.
  • Diapering: Each child should come with an extra diaper and a change of clothes. If the child needs a diaper change the parent needs to be located to change the diaper.  Diapers will only be changed by the babysitter in case of emergencies.
  • Crying: If a child is crying for more than 10 minutes, we will contact the parent to pick their child up.  
  • Payment: Kids Club payment must be made before dropping your child off. You may register online or at the Welcome Desk. If payment has not been made at the time of reconciliation, a $5 late payment fee will be added to your account. We reserve the right to charge the card on file for any services rendered that have not been paid in full.

Time Policies

  • Restricted to 2 hours. All-Inclusive Members can use the J Kids Club room for more than two hours a day, but there must be a two-hour break in between reserved times. If a parent is more than 15 minutes over the 2-hour time allotted, a $5 fee per child will automatically be charged to the account.
  • Reservations are taken by the hour, on the half hour. (Example: You may reserve 9:30-11:30 as 2 full hours, but not 9-10:30 as 1.5 hours). Reservations will be held for 10 additional minutes after the reserved time but will then be re leased to allow from for other children after that time. If a reservation is canceled it should be done at least one hour before the reservation is set to begin. Failure to cancel a reservation will result in the parent being charged the full fee for the reserved time.
  • Checking in and out is required. If you do not check your child out of the Kids Club room, you will be charged for the full 2 hours.
