Comic Book Creation

Session E | Week 1 (August 5 – 9)
Members: $390 | Non-Member: $440

Join our talented team of Graphic Artists, Card Game Enthusiasts, & Comic Book Gurus to create your very own Heroes of Legend! This class will explore the history and lore of traditional comic books and card games. The students will create and develop a Comic Book or Card Game Hero and tell their unique story. Each student will learn how to draw and illustrate their characters to share with the world.

Crayola™ World of Design

Session E | Week 1 (August 5 – 9)
Members: $390 | Non-Member: $440

Crayola World of DesignThink it! Draw it! Make it! Take a journey to the farthest reaches of the imagination while learning about the rainforest, Hollywood, Mars, and a futuristic city! Use the design thinking process to solve real-world problems in these different environments.  Experiment with Crayola® products and many art techniques like sculpting, storyboarding, collage, and mixed media. Discover design careers like graphic design, universal design, urban design, and product design.

Creative Kiddos

Session E | Week 1 (August 5 – 9)

Walk on the Wild Side! Is your child a creative kiddo who wants to try a bit of everything, from visual arts to creative movement, from music to acting? Then look no further -- we've got the camp for you! Our budding artists will explore a wide range of visual and performing arts in a fun, creative environment during this one-week camp designed to bring out each creative kiddo's inner artistic explorer! Showcase on the last day of camp.

Hideout Theatre Improv

Session E | Week 1 (August 5 – 9)
Members: $390 | Non-Member: $440

In the Hideout Camps, kids learn the basics of improv, storytelling, and stagecraft mostly through playing games – because you learn better when you are having fun! Every day we play games, create stories, perform scenes, do crafts and generally have a blast. On the final day, we show off our amazing new skills in a performance for friends and family.

Performing Arts Camp

Session A | June 11 – 21
Members: $504 | Non-Member: $604

Puppet Factory Escapade! The workers at the Puppet factory have been working hard to finish up an order for an important client.  When the day comes they are shocked to see that the puppets have all been stolen!  Will they catch the culprit in time? You’ll create an whodunnit script that will be shared onstage with friends and family at the end of camp! The final performance will take place on June 20 at 6 p.m. on the Community Hall Stage.

Skill Building: Acting

Session D | Week 1 (July 22 – 26)
Members: $330 | Non-Members: $380

Are you excited to act? Take your skills to the next level by learning acting basics and techniques such as how to build interesting characters and use objectives to get what you want while speaking dynamically. You'll get a chance to work on a variety of scenes and monologues - exploring comedy and tragedy!  Showcase at the end of the week. 

Stars Alive Show Choir

Session C | Week 1 (July 7 – 12)
Members: $300 | Non-Members: $350

BROADWAY BOUND: Stars Alive Show Choir Camp is an exciting experience combining singing, dancing & acting for Grades 3-8! Over the course of a session, your camper will learn 4-5 songs from famous Broadway & Movie Musicals, complete with choreography and basic harmonies. The camp group works together as an ensemble, with opportunities for short solos for singers that are interested.  Campers also work in small groups, creating skits to introduce their songs during their final performance. Stars Alive is led by voice teacher and performing arts director, Chantel Mead. Her mission as an educator is to create joyful programs that allow young people to explore their voice in a safe and supported environment. If you have a child that loves to sing, dance, act and be a part of a team - this is the perfect camp for them!!

Session D | Week 1 (July 29 – August 2)
Members: $300 | Non-Members: $350

POP LEGENDS: Stars Alive Show Choir Camp is an exciting experience combining singing, dancing & acting for Grades 3-8! Young Rembrandts

Pre-Camp | June 3 – 7

SUMMERTIME FUN TIME Drawing Workshop Whether your child’s idea of summer lends itself to amusement parks, water parks, national forests or the beach, this multi-media drawing workshop is for them! In this Young Rembrandts workshop, we’ll draw the places and activities that scream summertime fun time.

Session E | Week 2 (August 12 – 16)
Members: $390 | Non-Members: $440

WILD KINGDOM Drawing Workshop -Kids and animals go together like PB&J, so what better way to keep your child entertained (and learning!) than with an all-animal drawing & cartooning workshop? In this multi-media Young Rembrandts workshop, our artists will draw everything from cute & cuddly pets, farm animals, zoo animals, jungle animals, underwater sea creatures and more. We might even sneak in some mythical beasts! Artists will use a variety of media, including pastels, and will practice both their realistic and cartooning art techniques. Whether your child is a fur, fin or feather lover – this one’s for them!
