Parenting Skills for Child Anxiety
October 10 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday and Thursday, repeating until November 19, 2024
This 6-session group for parents of youth with anxiety uses the SPACE model (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). SPACE is an evidence-based program designed to support parents in helping their child effectively manage fears and worries. The program teaches parents skills for responding supportively and how to use those skills in everyday situations. SPACE is appropriate for many common anxiety issues including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, and obsessions and compulsions.
