SUMMARY:A Night to Support IAC Austin
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to share with you that on May 20th\, we will have an Evening of Support for IAC Austin and all the work we are doing here and around the US. Our evening Honorees are Carol & Dr. Kaylen Silverberg. \nCarol and Kaylen are longtime leaders in the Austin community. They are the voice to support and stand for Israel. Their involvement and dedication with IAC\, AIPAC\, Shalom Austin\, Hillel\, the Fertility Foundation\, and many more wonderful organizations is exemplary. They strive to find creative ways to bring Israel’s complexity to different communities. One of their most exciting projects is the Interactive Wall they created at Shalom Austin’s facility. This is the only Interactive Wall at all the JCCs across the US. This wall is an amazing opportunity for our community to get educated about Israel and advocate for Israel. Through their hard work and contributions\, great energy\, and very humble way of doing things\, they are role models to us in the community. \nIAC’s mission centers around fostering a deep connection to Israel\, promoting Jewish identity\, and combating antisemitism through innovative programs and events. We support individuals and families in discovering their cultural heritage and connecting with their roots\, ensuring a vibrant Jewish future. For the past 18 years\, IAC has been a powerful voice for Israel and the Jewish people\, fostering pride\, unity\, and impact from coast to coast. One such impactful initiative is our IAC SHIELD\, an initiative that was established to support Jewish students\, staff\, and faculty who are experiencing antisemitism\, harassment\,  and discrimination across U.S and Canadian campuses. We will hear more about that at our event. Please join us on May 20th for the IAC Austin Evening of Support as we come together to celebrate this important work and honor Carol and Kaylen Silverberg for their outstanding dedication to our community. \nDate: Tuesday\, May 20\n6:30 PM – Donor Club Reception \n7:00 PM – Door opening & Hors d’oeuvres\n7:30 PM – Main Program\n\nHighlights of the evening: \n\nSagit Sade Attia\, IAC’s National Senior Director of Academic Affairs\, will share about IAC SHIELD\, our newest national initiative fighting antisemitism and protecting Jewish students on campuses across the U.S.\nTal Ramon\, musician and son of Rona & Ilan Ramon (z”l)\, Israel’s first astronaut. Who will share his inspirational life story and a live concert.\n\nPlease get your tickets here: https://iac360.org/united-by-israel-austin-2025/ \nThis will be an evening of unity\, inspiration\, and impact — and we would be honored to have you with us. \nCost : $180.

SUMMARY:Death Over Dinner-Virtual Event
DESCRIPTION:Bring you own Dinner and join the Jewish Family Service Grief & Loss team at Death Over Dinner. \n\nOur uniting truth is that every single one of us will die. Despite this fact\, our culture shies away from acknowledging it\, making everything—from discussions on end-of-life medical wishes to expressions of what we want our memorial services to look like—feel morbid and sometimes downright scary. But these conversations don’t need to feel this way! Join us for an evening of discussion and connection around what it means to you to have a “good death.” What do you wish for yourself and for those you love most? What conversations can you be starting with loved ones today to ensure that they and you receive the care we all truly deserve at the end of our lives? All are welcome! \nLink will be emailed to registered participants.
