DESCRIPTION:Join Shalom Austin’s Community Chaplain\, Rabbi Amy Cohen and JFS’ Grief and Loss Therapists\, Maura Kinney and Audrey Burnett\, along with local Austin clergy in a gathering to remember those who have died by suicide. Weather permitting\, the gathering will be in the Waxman Meditation Garden and will include music\, meditation\, and ritual to mark the unique gravity of this loss. Whether the person you are grieving was a family member\, friend\, or shared community member\, and whether they died recently or years ago\, all are welcome.

DESCRIPTION:Sometimes you just want to talk to other parents and caregivers who “get it.” Parent Connections is a group for those raising\, and for those who have already raised\, children with disabilities and/or neurodivergent conditions. DESCRIPTION:Join Shalom Austin Public Affairs department\, ADL\, and IAC for a vital training and community conversation focused on equipping Jewish parents with the tools\, knowledge\, and confidence to address antisemitism in our schools. This event will provide case studies and practical strategies for recognizing and responding to antisemitic incidents\, advocating for inclusive school environments\, and supporting your child’s identity and safety. \nThis training is being offered three times: \n\non Zoom on August 27\, 2025\non Zoom on February 10\, 2026\nin-person on September 7\n\nClick here to register for the September 7 training in person. \nThe location will be shared upon registration.
