Greenberg was a beacon of hope to millions of American Jews who faced bigotry during the Depression and World War II. The Ciesla Foundation is re-releasing “The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg” with a new 4k remaster in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary and the 90th anniversary of Greenberg’s decision to sit out a key pennant race game to attend synagogue on Yom Kippur.
