DESCRIPTION:Welcome to IAC MAGEN Onboarding Training \nIAC MAGEN is a national civic leadership network empowering Israeli-American and Jewish community members to move\nfrom reacting to challenges to shaping their local environment with confidence and purpose. \nAt this interactive training\, participants will learn how local civic power works\, how to build relationships with elected officials\,\nschool boards\, and law enforcement\, how to respond to antisemitic issues in a smart and coordinated way\, and finally how\nto build a proud Jewish and pro Israeli community. \nThrough practical tools\, community mapping\, and peer collaboration\, you will connect with others who care about strengthening\nour community and join a growing national network working together for impact.\nThe training is the starting point for continued engagement through local and national IAC MAGEN task forces focused on civic leadership\, community resilience\, and partnerships. \nA one-of-a-kind national civic leadership network. \nMAGEN means “shield\,” and IAC MAGEN is about helping our community move from reacting to challenges to being prepared\, connected\, and confident in shaping our future.\nThrough IAC MAGEN\, we give the knowledge and support to community members – not professionals\, not politicians- people like me and you\, to understand how local power actually works\, how to build relationships with school boards\, city officials\, and law enforcement\, and how to respond to issues like antisemitism in a smart\, coordinated way.\nIt starts with a short training day\, and from then on you can shape your community involvement as part of our national network task forces. \nJoin our Magen training day.\nLocation- will be sent after registration (around downtown)\nWe will have special speakers from our local officials.\nAdults only.
