JCC Member Policies

A JCC Membership entitles you to full access to the Sports & Fitness Facility, including the fitness center, free-weights room, pool, gymnasium, jogging track, dry saunas, and whirlpools. Membership includes numerous free group fitness classes, as well as access to premium classes that entail an additional fee. Members may also take advantage of discounts on programs and events such as JCC Summer Camps, enrichment classes, Austin Jewish Repertory Theater performances, and much more.

We offer month-to-month memberships, which can be billed to your credit card or drafted from your bank account. If you would like to pay semi-annually or annually, we can arrange that. Please contact our offices to learn more.

Your membership will automatically renew monthly. Cancellation of your membership will require a 60-day cancellation notice via form. Contact membership@shalomaustin.org at least 60 days prior to the next billing date. We reserve the right to change membership rates once per calendar year.

We want you to be happy - you have 5 business days after receipt of your agreement to contest any part therein or cancel your membership without penalty.

Couple memberships include any 2 individuals, at least one over the age of 18, living in the same household.

Family memberships include up to 2 adults and unlimited children up to age 25 living in the same household.

Teen membership discounts are available to children 13-17. The discount expires when the member turns 18 and will be automatically upgraded to an individual membership with a young adult discount. There must be an adult inactive member on the unit.

Young adult membership discounts only apply to individual memberships and expire when the individual turns 40. They will automatically upgrade to the standard individual membership rate when the member turns 40.

Student discount rates require transcripts showing current, full-time enrollment in an accredited educational facility for at least one adult member on the membership.

Senior memberships require one individual in the membership to be 65 years or older.

Your JCC Membership offers you the opportunity for a "home away from home" when you travel. Most Jewish Community Centers in the United States offer membership reciprocity for members of other Jewish Community Centers. Please contact the JCC in the city you will be traveling to in order to find out about their policies for reciprocal memberships.

Are you a member of another J looking to visit Austin? Find out how to become a JCC Reciprocal Member. Members in good standing at any JCC affiliated with the JCC Association of North America are eligible to use the facilities of the JCC for up to 30 days within any 12-month period without payment of a guest fee, provided their permanent place of residence is outside the greater Austin area. Reciprocal Members will be required to show a valid ID from a JCC at each visit to the JCC. Additionally, Reciprocal Members are eligible to participate in fee-paid services offered by the JCC at member rates.

Reciprocal members are required to pre-register as Non-Members online and send proof of current membership to membership@shalomaustin.org.
