Women's Philanthropy

Shalom Austin Women’s Philanthropy engages, empowers, and educates all women of all generations to strengthen and serve our community. Guided by our traditions of tzedakah and tikkun olam, we are committed to ensuring a thriving Jewish future in Austin, Israel and around the world.

Join us in our commitment to:

Philanthropy (love of humankind): We believe that the future well-being of the global Jewish community is inextricably linked to the power of women's philanthropy, the fastest growing phenomenon in fundraising today.

Education: We strive to have all women more deeply understand the significance of their philanthropic decisions.

Engagement: Women's Philanthropy provides a place in the Jewish Austin community for all women to come together to promote, enhance and celebrate Jewish life. We are committed to building a Jewish community that is welcoming, engaging and demonstrates the impact a woman makes by having her voice heard.

Leadership: We nurture leadership that is committed to strengthening our Jewish community in Austin, Israel and in 70 countries across the globe through our Annual Campaign and meaningful engagement opportunities.

For upcoming Women's Philanthropy activities, please check out our 2019-2020 Calendar of events.

Every Woman is a Philanthropist

Across the country women's giving is increasing, with approximately 30% of all gifts to the Annual Campaigns made by women. Women's Philanthropy encourages women to make an individual gift for many reasons, including demonstrating leadership and taking equal responsibility for meeting the needs of our local & global Jewish community, whether you give $18 or $18,000, you are a part of our collective impact that makes our community thrive.

Philanthropy Update

As of August 1, 2019, Shalom Austin is 70% to our Annual Campaign goal of $2.38M. Shalom Austin's Annual Campaign runs January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
