Life, Death, and Jewish Wisdom with Shomer Collective
December 8 @ 10:00 am - 2:15 pm
FreeJoin Shalom Austin and Shomer Collective for an inclusive, thought-provoking day on Sunday, December 8 dedicated to discussing life, death, and how to approach these challenging topics.
In the first session (10:00am-11:15am), How to Talk With Children (and Others) About Death, Dying, and Hard Stuff, parents and community members will gain insights into having age-appropriate, meaningful conversations with children using both child development principles and Jewish wisdom.
Our second session (1:00pm-2:15pm), Life and Death Through Jewish Texts explore Jewish teachings on death, from Torah to modern thinkers. This day of learning is open to all, regardless of background, and is designed to foster deeper connections and understanding around life’s most profound transitions.
