Your health and safety is important to us. Due to COVID-19, some in-person programs and services may be offered online, have a new in-person schedule and requirements, or may be suspended. In the JCC Early Childhood Program, children attain school readiness and academic skills through a play-based, evolving learning environment based on individual interests.
Our school encourages the development of children’s self-esteem and self-control with the use of positive guidance, an appreciation of cultural diversity, and respect for each child’s individuality.
The JCC Early Childhood Program creates a wonderful environment where children can learn and grow safely. All of our teachers are extensively trained to help minimize the risk of COVID-19. There are also new safety measures in place to protect our children.
Our amenities include: a heated pool, a covered children’s pool, an outdoor track, a fitness center and weight room, whirlpools and saunas, double gymnasium, sports fields, a meditation garden, and more!

What You Need to Know
The ECP, in keeping with the laws of Kashrut (Jewish Dietary Laws) is a strictly dairy/pareve only facility, so what do kids eat for lunch? Get some ideas, plus lots of other helpful info including: our schedule, COVID-19 policies, the parent handbook, what to bring, Tot Shabbat and holiday information, and our inclement weather policies.
In addition to the ECP, Shalom Austin offers a variety of other programs for young children and their parents.
Looking for something for your kids to do after school? We have fun and educational activities for kids ages 1-12.
Fitness & Sports

Every month, Shalom Families organizes events at the J and neighborhoods in the Austin area. Get to know other families who live near you.
Join a group, take a trip, or volunteer. We have lots of other ways you can get involved in the Austin Jewish community.
The ECP has been refreshed thanks to generous donations to the Generations Campaign. The refresh includes new paint, flooring and ceilings, the newly named Clifford Zeifman Early Childhood Center, and the Laura and Andy Pastor Lobby.
We believe everyone should have access to participate in our community, regardless of financial need. Awards of financial assistance are made possible for community members by generous contributions to the Shalom Austin Annual Campaign. Financial aid is distributed based on availability of funds and eligibility of your household. If you would like to learn more about financial aid, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
