Connecting Parents in the Greater Austin Area

Shalom Families is a full-community program that facilitates and supports social events for parents in Austin and the surrounding areas. Every month, we organize events online, at the JCC and in neighborhoods throughout Greater Austin. This is a great way to meet other local Jewish families.

We welcome anyone to help plan events. If you are interested in hosting a playdate, parents night out/in, or anything to meet other families, please let us know! We want to make this community a way to meet any other Jewish families, especially in your local neighborhood.

Free Books for Jewish Families

We don’t need to tell you that reading to your children is important. But finding the right books and making the time to read as a family can be hard. PJ Library makes it a little easier by sending free Jewish children’s books to families every month.

Families with kids ages 0 through 12 years old with Judaism as part of their lives, are welcome to sign up.
