DISCUSSION GROUPS

Literary Arts Facebook Group
Join our Facebook group to take part in conversations about the books and the literary arts, share your literary interests, meet other book lovers and learn about events and programs.

Cafe Au Lit Book Club
Suspended until further notice
Unlike conventional book clubs where books are assigned, Café Au Lit is a monthly discussion group of senior adults who will each be given 5-10 minutes to discuss a book they have read or are reading now, and critique it. Books can be any type: fiction, non-fiction, historical, biography, travel, sci-fi, cooking, mystery, romance, how-to, etc. All can participate and learn about books they might later want to read on their own. Modeled on the successful book club at the Austin Public Library, North Village Branch, Café Au Lit at the JCC will be facilitated by Stan and Elly Field. You are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch with you; group will meet around tables.
