Dads’ Night Out: Intergenerational Wisdom

Join Rabbi Dan Ain and local dads for a special Dads’ Night Out in collaboration with Shalom Austin’s Wise Guys.
Rabbi Alan Freedman, rabbi emeritus of Temple Beth Shalom, and Rabbi Ain will lead a conversation across the generations to share wisdom, insight and perspective that can often be lost when we hang out with only our friends or peer groups.
Rabbi Freedman will share his perspective on becoming a second career Rabbi and offer lessons that cannot be accessed over a large language model. How do we rewrite the story of our lives? How can we maintain a growth mindset once we’ve hit midlife? And what unseen and unknown joys are we overlooking?
