JGallery : Voces: Arte del Pueblo Reception

Raising up our collective voices, let us celebrate the colors of tradition, imagination, and cultural identity alive in everyday objects hecho a mano, lovingly handcrafted by Latin American artisans. 

Rooted in the traditions of community, these artifacts, on loan from the Austin Friends of Folk Art permanent collection, echo voces del pueblo, carrying stories across generations. 

Opening during September’s National Hispanic Heritage Month, this exhibition honors a living folk art legacy shaped by shared hands, shared memories, and shared inspiration. 

This exhibition is a collaboration between the Toby Shor JGallery Dell Jewish Community Center, Folk Art Museum of Central Texas and Austin Friends of Folk Art, and the reception is in partnership with Austin PBS.
