VISUAL ARTS

JGALLERY

The Toby Shor JGallery at the Dell JCC is devoted to expanding and enriching cultural life in Austin. By providing space to both Jewish and non-Jewish artists, the gallery offers the community the opportunity to explore the richness and diversity of art from a broad range of mediums.

Through solo and group exhibitions, JGallery serves as a vehicle to discover many avenues of artistic expression, finding common threads to Jewish experience, identity and culture. The gallery presents exhibitions and programs that aim to enhance knowledge, deepen understanding, expand art forms and take full advantage of each vibrant exhibition season.

If you are interested in participating in the Visual Arts Committee or for information on exhibitions, please contact us iris.bartov@shalomaustin.org.

MITZVAH KNITTERS

Mitzvah Knitters is a group of dedicated crocheters and knitters that meets Friday mornings at the Dell Jewish Community Center. Participants make and donate baby blankets, lap blankets, scarves, shawls, hats and various other items. These items are then given to charities and hospitals around Austin to help others enjoy the benefits of warmth and love included with each gift.

Mitzvah Knitters welcomes to the group all who want to share their talents. The group also ask for donations to help supply yarn used for these very worthy projects.

For more information, contact Iris Bartov at (512) 735-8086 or iris.bartov@shalomaustin.org.
