BubbieCare Expands its Caregiver Connections and Jewish Family Service Partnerships Throughout Texas
BubbieCare is a partner of Shalom Austin.
BubbieCare, a company founded in Austin, Texas who helps families find and hire caregivers for seniors or those needing assistance with daily tasks in their homes, has expanded throughout Texas and will now be helping families in Houston looking to hire caregivers for their loved ones. BubbieCare has helped over 100 families employ caregivers and helped those caregivers earn over $4 million – far above what they would have earned through an agency. BubbieCare’s automated payroll systems also seamlessly handle all payroll and tax filings for their clients in a completely stress-free manner.
“Our ultimate goal is to help families find caregivers who will become part of their family. To accomplish this, we created a company in which those caregivers can thrive both financially and professionally. Our fees are low so families can afford to pay their caregivers a greater wage. And our standards are high as each caregiver is personally interviewed and professionally vetted by a trained Care Coordinator,” said Lawrence Maze, founder of BubbieCare.
Because of their strong relationship with Jewish Family Service throughout Texas, they have recently partnered with JFS and Lab for Economic Opportunities University of Notre Dame in a study aimed at helping caregivers rise out of poverty through free financial coaching and literacy classes.
Shalom Austin Jewish Family Service Executive Director and Shalom Austin Chief Social Services Officer Rabbi Amy B. Cohen is able to provide more services to the community due to the partnership with and contributions from BubbieCare. “Not only does BubbieCare provide much-needed assistance to our elder community in Austin, but they also donate 18% of their net profits to Shalom Austin Jewish Family Service. This collaboration has also allowed us to offer financial coaching to our local clients and experiment with how to expand these programs throughout our community. We are so grateful to BubbieCare for all of their support.” said Rabbi Cohen.
“We have assisted so many wonderful families in Austin, and through those efforts, been able to increase our donations to Shalom Austin Jewish Family Service. I’m truly excited to meet and help the families, caregivers and community of Houston,” said Chris Spurgeon, co-founder of BubbieCare.
