Judaism United, a nonprofit that was formed by a group of Jewish young adult friends in 2019, recently announced that “L’Chaim City Limits (LCL) 3.0”, a weekend for Jewish young adults, will take place on July 21-23, 2023 in Austin, Texas. The weekend will be filled with fun activities with the goal of uniting Jewish young adults from around the country and the world to meet new friends and socialize with old ones.

“Now more than ever, it is important for Jews to come together, and LCL is a great opportunity to network and ferment relations within the Jewish millennial community,” said Alan Yancelson, co-chair of LCL. “We are so excited to put together this incredible weekend which will be one to remember.”

The third annual weekend will feature many exciting events, including a Shabbat dinner at the world-famous Stubbs BBQ, as well as one of the largest Jewish pool parties Texas has ever seen in the heart of downtown Austin.

According to the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), 95% of Jewish millennials said they’re proud to be Jewish. “The millennial generation represents new energy and optimism that will change our Jewish community, society, and world for the better. We just need the opportunities to make it happen,” said Evan Taylor, associate director for college engagement at the Union for Reform Judaism. LCL is an opportunity to make that happen.

Judaism United at its core professes unification through diversification, the breaking down of geographic boundaries. And what better way than to have L’Chaim City Limits act as a medium for its mission where those from around the country will share in traditional Judaic customs and beliefs, while mixing in a fun and festive atmosphere.

Current board members include Michael Bellovin, Isaac Stock, Jana Yampolsky, Alan Yancelson, Michelle Bach, Daniel Huvard and Felice Schimmel. To learn more about LCL and for announcements about the weekend events, visit LChaimCityLimits.com or the Facebook group, Facebook.com/lclaustin.
