On June 6, Shalom Austin hosted its first Annual Meeting since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Over 200 community members and shareholders gathered online for financial updates, impact stories, new board member installations and award ceremonies.

This year’s meeting celebrated the 3-year tenure of outgoing board chair Abby Rapoport while welcoming incoming board chair Rick Rosenberg. The community voted on and unanimously approved the new board of directors slate.

Shalom Austin staff members Kristina Boshernitzan, member experience director, Alachua Nazarenko, education and engagement director, and Rachel Stern, chief learning and engagement officer, shared impact stories about the changes, challenges, and the community’s resilience throughout COVID.

The community celebrated former Generations Campaign Director Harriett Kirsh Pozen with the Community Service Award and Shalom Austin Security Director Andy Dooher with the Exemplar of Excellence Award. ■
