During a time when Central Texans are dealing with disaster and tragedy, the stars aligned to allow a coordinated effort from Jewish War Veterans, Mission Golf Cars, and the Austin Veterans Administration (VA) Clinic to benefit area veterans.

In July 2025, Austin Post 757 members of the Jewish War Veterans (JWV) donated a 6-passenger Evolution electric cart to the Austin Veterans Administration Clinic. The Austin VA is currently seeking volunteers to drive the new cart to transport veterans from parking areas to the clinic, along with other volunteer positions.

The Austin Jewish War Veterans were looking to make a meaningful donation to Austin-area veterans. Former JWV Senior Vice Commander Charlie Rosenblum researched opportunities and found that the VA needed a golf cart for transporting veterans. The VA’s volunteer coordinators, Quentin Kimble and Tony Davis of the Center of Development & Civic Engagement, worked together with JWV Commander Cynthia Baihlah Rubin to determine the best type of vehicle for the veterans. Michael Coiro (Sales) and Manny Cuellar (General Manager) of Mission Golf Cars in Buda, TX, put together an excellent package which allowed JWV to purchase and donate the cart to the VA Clinic. The new all-electric Evolution Carrier 6 Plus six-passenger cart with a lithium battery is perfect for meeting the needs of the veterans.
