Jamie Lee Curtis brought energy and honesty to her SXSW 2026 session on March 14, “If Not Now, When, if Not Me, Who? Pivoting and Manifesting!” Curtis sat down with H. Alan Scott, senior editor for Newsweek, to discuss this central question.

During their discussion, Curtis talked about her new role in the thriller “Sender” as well as her long Hollywood career. She also shared her perspective on the power of kindness within the entertainment industry, setting a standard for aspiring filmmakers.

The heart of her talk was about pivoting and the choice to try something new. Curtis, who is Jewish, has spoken about how her heritage and family history shape her perspective on resilience and gratitude. On stage, she shared candid stories about how her own growth came when she embraced change.
