JGallery’s Beauty in Bloom Exhibition Adorns the Walls of the Dell JCC
For centuries, countless artists have turned to flora and botanicals for inspiration.
The still life paintings of the Dutch Masters, Vincent van Gogh’s vibrant sunflowers and Georgia O’Keefe’s dynamic blooms are iconic examples.
Four Austin artists, Neena Buxani, Beverly Deutsch, Laura Fox-Wallis and Anna Lisa Leal capture the visual power of flora and botanicals in fresh and diverse ways, proving there is always something new under the sun.
Beauty in Bloom, showing in the Toby Shor JGallery, will be on view at the Dell JCC from August 28 through November 28. The opening reception with light refreshments and artists’ talks is September 7 at 7 p.m. in the Epstein Family Community Hall. More information about JGallery is available online at shalomaustin.org/jgallery.
