A high-energy rotation through six ESTEAM labs in one course, where students explore LEGO® robotics, coding, circuits, mosaics, and master builder challenges while developing teamwork and creative problem-solving. This camp does not swim.

ESTEAM LEGO Maker: Animal Engineers Core Day​ | K-2nd Grades *WAITLISTED*

From ESTEAM Learning Labs: “Animal Engineers” combines a love for animals with engineering fun! Campers will build LEGO® models inspired by animals—like a swinging monkey, a flapping bird, or a crawling insect—and learn how movement, balance, and energy work in the natural world. Through creative play and hands-on experiments, campers will develop a deeper understanding of mechanical concepts and nature’s amazing designs. This camp does not swim.

ESTEAM Fusion Robotics: Master the Bots Core Day​ | 3rd-6th Grades

From ESTEAM Learning Labs: Ready to dive into the world of robotics? In Robotics Fusion, campers will explore a thrilling variety of robots, from Kubo and Sphero to Boost and LEGO® Spike, while mastering the skills needed to bring them to life through coding. This dynamic camp is the ultimate playground for young tech enthusiasts, where creativity meets hands-on learning.

By the end of the week, they’ll not only be robotics experts but also have developed essential skills in logic, problem-solving, and teamwork. If your camper is ready to code, create, and control their own fleet of robots, Robotics Fusion is the perfect camp for them! This camp does not swim.

ESTEAM Jewelry Innovators: Design & Shine Core Day | 3rd-6th Grades 

From ESTEAM Learning Labs: Go on a journey through the history of jewelry, exploring different cultures and mediums while learning how to create stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces. Campers will experiment with various techniques to craft unique jewelry that expresses their personal style. Campers will also dive into entrepreneurship, learning to market and price their creations, design their own jewelry brand, and pitch their designs in a fun end-of-week showcase. From understanding trends to developing a business plan, this camp teaches the full cycle of going from creative inspiration to running a mini jewelry business. This camp does not swim.

Martial Arts Core Day | 1st-6th Grades

Summer camp with Master Palacios ATA Martial Arts works hand in hand with your efforts as a parent, providing the Life Skills necessary for your child to be THE BEST THEY CAN BE! No previous experience necessary! Engaging games, projects, and hikes, plus the life-enriching skills of self-confidence, respect, self-control, and friendship. Our focus this week is school prep: focus, discipline, respect, and self-esteem. This is a belt promotion camp. Modules include Bully Prevention and Team Building. Zach Theater Toy Story Core Day | 1st-2nd Grades 

“Act the Story” Camps focus on nurturing a love for performance by developing essential tools through creativity and collaboration. Through class rotations in acting, movement, creative storytelling, and arts & crafts, young performers build confidence while discovering their artistic voices. Each camp ends with a demonstration for family and friends, celebrating the progress and skills students have learned during the week.

Zach Theater Improv Core Day | 3rd-6th Grades

This fun and fast-paced camp is great for young actors with any level of experience. Through acting games and exercises, students will learn how to say “yes” to ideas, create characters, make specific choices, and let go of judgment to reach their full creative potential.

Please note, this camp focuses on process (the skills of acting and improvisation) over product. The semester ends with a demonstration where students perform a selection of improvisation games and scenes for friends and family.

Chamudim | Kindergarten

What makes Chamudim special? Chamudim (cuties) is our premier Kindergarten-readiness program! Chamudim is a specialized unit just for fellow Kindergarteners. Your camper will learn and hone essential skills to ensure they are ready for their exciting transition to Elementary School in the fall! Chamudim campers will gain independence, develop skills and explore so much of what JCamps has to offer!

Chamudim campers get to participate in incredible specialty activities like arts & crafts, music, Israeli Culture, sports, and water activities! They’ll forge relationships with new and returning friends, strengthen their sense of community, and enhance their social skills (without even knowing it!). Days are kept fresh with rotating specialty activities and games led by their bunk counselors, as well as fun bonding events and theme days like Friday Shabbat, Maccabiah, Pride Day, Israeli Ruach Day, and more!

Noar | 1st & 2nd Grades 

What makes Noar special? Noar (youth) is the most popular program at JCamps! Noar takes camp to the next level with expanding friend groups and new opportunities to sample everything JCamps has to offer. Noar is the true classic day camp experience!

Noar is the 1st and 2nd grade unit at our classic camp. Campers in classic camp get to participate in incredible specialty activities like arts & crafts, music, Israeli Culture, sports, and water activities! They’ll forge relationships with new and returning friends, strengthen their sense of community, and enhance their social skills (without even knowing it!). Basketball | 3rd-6th Grades *GRADES 5-6 WAITLISTED*

Basketball camp at JCamps uses basketball as a foundation for building confidence, leadership, and teamwork. Each day and week will build on the last with a focus on fun and friendship while building skills along the way. This camp is perfect for all skill levels and provides a fun, supportive introduction to the recreational basketball leagues offered at Shalom Austin.

In addition to basketball instruction, campers will spend half of each day participating in other classic camp activities to ensure a full and well-rounded camp experience. These include swimming, theme days, and special events!

Tennis | K-4th Grades *GRADES 3-4 WAITLISTED*

Join us for an action-packed Tennis Camp where campers will develop core skills—groundstrokes, volleys, serves, rallies, and match play—through fun drills and games that make everyone feel like a champion. Morning activities are led by skilled and enthusiastic tennis pros, with a focus on fun and skill building. This camp is focused on fun and friendship while building skills along the way and is open to campers of all skill levels.

In addition to tennis time, campers will spend half of each day participating in other classic camp activities to ensure a full and well-rounded camp experience. These include swimming, theme days, and special events!

Theme: Animals of the Jungle & Desert. Get ready for a wild adventure! In this creative summer camp, young artists will explore the amazing animals that live in jungles and deserts around the world. We’ll paint colorful parrots, draw sneaky jungle cats, sculpt cool desert creatures with clay, and learn fun facts about each animal along the way. Kids will use their imagination, create awesome artwork, and have tons of fun while discovering the wonders of these exciting habitats. Perfect for little artists who love animals!

Broadway Kids Camps introduce young performers to the essential tools of musical theater while nurturing a love for performance. Students rotate through classes in voice, acting, movement, and collaborative theater-making—building confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Each camp concludes with a demonstration for family and friends showcasing students’ progress and what they learned.

Defy Gravity in this two-week camp where campers put on their own musical revue of Wicked. Campers will rotate through acting, voice, movement & design to bring their favorite moments from Wicked to life. The second week ends with a demonstration where campers perform a selection of songs and scenes from Wicked for friends, family and fellow campers.

Theme: Art Around the World. Grab your art passports and spend the week discovering art from global cultures by world-renowned artists. Join us on this creative journey as campers go back in time and across the globe to learn traditional art techniques and create a variety of projects inspired by timeless masterpieces. We will learn to draw mehndi designs from India, create folk art from Mexico, paint like an Italian master, make traditional hamsas, create a Japanese inspired clay pot, and more!

If you love being active, Maccabi at JCamps is the perfect fit! Over two action-packed weeks, campers will sample a variety of sports and PE games to help build confidence, develop fundamental skills, and learn teamwork and sportsmanship. This recreational experience is focused on fun and friendship while building skills along the way. Campers engage in healthy, age-appropriate competition while staying active and excited each day.

In addition to sports time, campers will spend half of each day participating in other classic camp activities to ensure a full and well-rounded camp experience. These include swimming, theme days, and special events!

Join us for an action-packed Tennis Camp where campers will develop core skills—groundstrokes, volleys, serves, rallies, and match play—through fun drills and games that make everyone feel like a champion. Morning activities are led by skilled and enthusiastic tennis pros, with a focus on fun and skill building. This camp is focused on fun and friendship while building skills along the way and is open to campers of all skill levels.

In addition to tennis time, campers will spend half of each day participating in other classic camp activities to ensure a full and well-rounded camp experience. These include swimming, theme days, and special events!

Theme: Clay and Mixed Media Camp. Campers will stretch their imaginations as they dive into the exciting world of clay, mixed media, and more! Throughout the week, students will discover the history of clay, learn a variety of sculpting techniques, and experiment with colorful glaze application. They’ll also explore the fun of paper mâché and build their own 3-D sculptures using different materials like spray foam. This camp is perfect for young artists who love to get hands-on, try new techniques, and bring their ideas to life!

Theme: Meet the Masters. Learn about art from the Masters—Van Gogh, Seurat, Chagall, Klimt, Picasso, and more! This inspiring camp invites young artists to explore famous styles and techniques while creating their own masterpieces. Campers will experiment with a variety of mediums, including painting, printmaking, clay, and collage. Along the way, they’ll discover the elements of design, explore the color wheel, practice color mixing, and learn how to use real artist tools. From ESTEAM Learning Labs: Aspiring secret agents in “Mission Impossible” will build and program LEGO robots to tackle exciting missions. Using gears, pulleys, and sensors, campers will design spy tools that move, detect, and interact to complete tasks like finding hidden objects or navigating obstacles. Each mission combines creativity and STEM skills, offering a fun challenge for every camper. ESTEAM LEGO® Movie Making & Animation | 1st-6th Grades

From ESTEAM Learning Labs: Lights, camera, LEGO®! Campers will transform their colorful bricks into exciting stop-motion films, taking on the role of both director and creator. In this action-packed camp, campers will pair up to develop their own stories, storyboard their ideas, and bring them to life using LEGO® bricks in thrilling stop-motion animations. They’ll learn the art of storytelling, design custom LEGO® sets, and even add sound effects and music to make their mini-movies come to life. Summer camp with Master Palacios ATA Martial Arts works hand in hand with your efforts as a parent, providing the Life Skills necessary for your child to be THE BEST THEY CAN BE! No previous experience necessary! Engaging games, projects, and hikes, plus the life-enriching skills of self-confidence, respect, self-control, and friendship. Our focus this week is school prep: focus, discipline, respect, self-esteem. This is a belt promotion camp. Modules include Bully Prevention and Team Building. Soccer Shots Premier | K-2nd Grades

Our full-day camps consist of multiple soccer sessions out on the JCC field, daily swim or water activities, and indoor time doing a daily craft, reading, and team-building activities. Sticky Fingers Cooking | K-6th Grades *WAITLISTED*

Report to the kitchen for a week of culinary basic training, where we’ll sharpen skills, build confidence, and master the fundamentals every chef needs to know. From knife safety (with child-safe knives!) to measuring, mixing, and seasoning, each day is packed with hands-on practice and delicious results. Campers will graduate with the essential kitchen know-how to cook with courage, creativity, and confidence.

Get ready to roll up your sleeves, dive into creating recipes, and have fun as you “earn your stripes” in the ‘COOL’inary Boot Camp! All recipes will be Kosher, nut free and meat free. All food allergies can be accommodated. Campers will spend half of their day cooking, and the other half of their day with fun classic camp activities like swimming, games, and more!

Young Rembrandts K-Pop Anime Drawing Workshop | 2nd-6th Grades 

Get ready to draw your heart out! Our K-Pop Anime Drawing Workshop is bursting with creative star power. Kids will spend five fun-filled days learning how to draw anime characters in a K-Pop style including specialty eyes, stylish outfits and stage-ready poses. K-Pop artists will use color pencils, Sharpies, and markers to bring every detail to life on large 11×17 poster-sized paper. It’s K-Pop energy meets anime artistry, a perfect mix of art and imagination inspired by one of the most talked-about movies of 2025! Join the trend. Draw the vibe. After working on their art, campers spend their afternoon with fun classic camp activities like swimming, games, and more!

Drone Together: Drone Flying Adventures | 3rd-6th Grades *WAITLISTED*

DroneTogether is back for another exhilarating and innovative summer with JCamps!Come have fun spending time in one of the fastest growing spaces in technology – drone flying. All flying abilities are welcome as we build on basic flying skills to advance to more challenging and exciting opportunities. Some of the opportunities include tricks, team flying challenges, flying adventures, obstacle design and course design. All activities are designed to be collaborative, fun and safe for all campers. Campers will spend half of their day flying drones, and the other half of their day with fun classic camp activities like swimming, games, and more! Kim’s Gym invites teens and youths entering grades 6 through 9 to join us as crew members at our summer camps. These helpers assist our group coaches and are essential to each session’s success. Our crew members will be trained to positively interact with the campers, and the experience is truly fulfilling on both sides. We love having our crew, and the campers do too!

Join Senior Master Palacios and ATA Martial Arts for JCamps’ martial arts teen leadership camp!

In this camp, teens will not only learn martial arts and the life and leadership skills that go along with martial arts, but also practice these skills in helping to teach the younger campers in martial arts camp. In learning how to teach other people, teens can help themselves to have courage, to motivate, communicate, and help make others and themselves be the best person that they can.

Madatzim is the next generation of camp fun. As a leader, you will spend time learning about what it means to lead and work with campers younger than yourselves. You’ll have a ton of fun camp experiences together – tie-dye and cooking, anyone? – while building on your skills and relationships as you work directly with a JCamps bunk. The fun of Madatzim includes cool field trips and surprises!

As a Madatzim leader, you will learn how to create, plan, and implement your favorite camp programs that you and your friends come up with, experience the creation of the magic of camp, and of course, have the most fun and meaningful summer with us at JCamps!

Madatzim is fun for one week or many, through different field trips, learning experiences, and friends.

Each excursion will spark new creativity as students sketch, observe, and learn about different art styles and techniques. The highlight of the week is a hands-on pottery-making experience where campers create their own ceramic pieces to keep! Maccabi Champions is focused on teens looking to dive into the multitude of sports we offer at Shalom Austin! Campers will participate in a variety of sports and athletics activities led by expert professionals and coaches from our community. Every day will be different and exciting and include learning weight room etiquette and routines, understanding nutrition, pool safety and lap swimming technique, and even building, designing, and teaching curriculum to our own day campers!

It’s not just the place we call home, but a chance for campers to capture the spirit of summer, in a city that wears the slogan “Keep Austin Weird.”

Campers will spend the week exploring unique and fun things Austin has to offer. Campers will have the opportunity to get out and discover the city like they’ve never seen before!
