Gather With Us in April!

In Judaism, it’s all about community. We come together to remember our history, mourn our losses, celebrate our culture, and dream of our future. This is highlighted beautifully in the spring, and we invite you to join the Shalom Austin community as we mark Yom HaShoah, Z3@Austin, Yom HaZikaron, and Yom HaAtzmaut.

Yom HaShoah Remembrance Program

Join the Austin Jewish community as we gather to observe Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. This solemn event honors the memory of the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, along with the survivors who persevered, the liberators who bore witness, and the righteous individuals who risked their lives to save others.

Yom HaShoah is a sacred moment for our community to come together in collective remembrance and reflection. Through commemoration, we ensure that the voices of those who perished are never forgotten and that the lessons of the Holocaust continue to guide us in confronting hate and building a more just world.

Content is appropriate for children in middle school and older.

Yom HaZikaron Community Ceremony

Join our community for Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day for those who lost their lives in the struggle that led to the establishment of the State of Israel, all military personnel who were killed while in active duty in Israel’s armed forces, and all victims of terror attacks.

In partnership with the Israeli-American Council, Tzofim, Shevet Keren, and the Jewish National Fund.

It is customary to wear a white top on Yom HaZikaron. We invite you to join in this custom.

Registration is required by Friday, April 17 at 5:00 PM.

Yom HaAtzmaut Community Celebration

Join this community-wide event for fun, food, and friendly faces to celebrate Israel’s birthday! Stop by when you can, stay as long as you’d like, and wear blue & white to make the day extra special. This is an event for the whole family to enjoy! Activities, musical performances, and more! Israeli food will be available for purchase.

In partnership with Austin Jewish organizations and congregations.

This event will take place rain or shine.
