Please submit your article to be considered for The Jewish Outlook, a printed publication of Shalom Austin, and/or the Jewish Community Blog, an online blog at shalomaustin.org/blog-the-jewish-outlook.

Please review our editorial submission guidelines before submitting your article. Follow the steps below and complete all fields. All submissions are at the discretion of The Jewish Outlook editorial team. We are unable to respond to all submissions. For questions, please contact us at [email protected].

Submission Guidelines
  • If the author of the article is different from your name, please include it here.
  • Please provide your email address so we can contact you if necessary.
  • Please provide a phone number so we can contact you if necessary.
  • You can upload a Word document of your submission here.
    Accepted file types: doc, docx, Max. file size: 64 MB.
  • You can paste the text of your submission here.
  • Please specify the edition(s) you are requesting. The deadline to submit for the print edition is the 10th of the prior month. Example: To appear in the March print edition, we need to receive your submission by February 10. If you do not specify edition or choose "Unknown," The Jewish Outlook editorial team will choose based on topic, timing and availability. Requests are subject to availability and at the discretion of The Jewish Outlook editorial team. Thank you.
  • Please specify the section to which you are submitting. If you do not specify the section or choose "Unknown," The Jewish Outlook editorial team will choose based on topic, timing and availability. Sections are subject to review and at the discretion of The Jewish Outlook editorial team.
  • Please provide up to 3 images along with your article. All submissions must be real, authentic photographs; we do not accept artificial intelligence (AI) generated images. Photos must also be free of any visible logos, watermarks, or markings. Please include an informative caption for each photo and the appropriate photo credit. In the caption, identify all subjects from left to right using their full, correctly spelled names. Please provide files in JPG or TIF format at a minimum of 200 dpi.
