Reservations are required for all of our in-person group fitness classes. You can book a spot here. But, don’t worry, all of our free group fitness classes will still be live on ZOOM and recorded classes are available.

Power for Parkinsons also offers free classes online every weekday at 1 pm. These classes make a great substitute for our P.A.C.E. and Sit & Be Fit classes.

Develop long, lean muscles and a stronger core in this true blend of Pilates, yoga, ballet conditioning and traditional strength training. Exercises focus on the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics and work your entire body through various ranges of motion.

A challenging yoga class with an emphasis on proper alignment, muscular energy and strength development. Every last Friday of the month is a restorative, self-care session that incorporates the use of Yoga Tune Up balls to release pain and tension in muscles.

Follow your instructor through hills, drills, sprints, intervals, and flat roads working at various speeds and intensities to build lower body strength, aerobic endurance, and anaerobic power. Use the 4iiii SCHWINN® MPOWER bike console as a guide for interval timing, distance traveled, power output and total caloric burn, both beginner and advanced riders can work at their own level to accomplish a great workout and walk away feeling successful.

CARDIO & STRENGTH

Senior Aerobics

A combination of low and moderate intensity aerobic exercises, weight-based resistance training, body-weight exercises, floor work, abs and stretching to improve overall fitness, balance and coordination for adults age 60 and better. Advanced classes will be faster-paced and will include additional physical challenges, such as lunges and squats.

Warrior Bootcamp

These classes will rock your body and make you feel like a gladiator with high-intensity cardio intervals, total body strength & flexibility training designed to get you into top physical condition. Each instructor brings their own unique approach to class design and every class is different!

Survival of the Fittest

Join an intense outdoor boot camp that includes equipment such as Bosu balls, resistance loop bands, and dumbbells plus functional exercises to build strength & stamina. Participants will grab a pair of dumbbells and a mat from the Group Fitness Area before the class meets on the front lawn at 5 PM. In-person only

Power Yogalates

Qigong

Qigong has been a wonderful addition to our Fitness Class schedule – and now it is even better! It hits all the right notes – health, wellness, and peace in a time of stress. For those who want to try it and were hesitant to come inside, join Master Palacios in her Qigong class. Check your reservation for class location. During the summer months and bad weather, the class will meet in the fitness studio. Otherwise, participants will meet their instructor at the pedestrian gate near the guard booth and check in using their Shalom Austin key tag

ECLECTIC HATHA YOGA

A practice of conscious breathing, movement (asanas) and present moment awareness. Class includes some slow flow with emphasis on joint mobility, circulation, balance, flexibility and full body strength, and ends with deep relaxation. M$10/NM$15. KRAV MAGA

What if you could get in shape, and learn how to protect yourself and your family? Krav Maga is not a traditional martial art. Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self-defense in the shortest possible time.

Originally developed by the Israeli military, Krav Maga combines traditional martial arts combat strategies and self-defense techniques, applying them to real-world situations. Rather than learning fighting etiquette, an emphasis is placed on being able to react out of instinct with proper self-defense and attack moves during any physical confrontation, teaching you how to avoid situations that might put you in harm’s way.  The registration fee includes gloves and a storage bag.

Please note, because of the seriousness of the class content and COVID, a parent is required to attend the class to hold pads and be a self-defense partner for their child. Participants ages 8 – 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
