HEAR FROM PAST STAFF!
When I started JCamps, I had just moved to Texas and wanted a way to get connected and earn during the summer. Lucky for me, I stumbled into one of the most supportive and fun work environments I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of. The staff constantly works to make the experience fulfilling and fun for both the counselors and the kids. By the end of the first session of camp, not only was I hanging out with my fellow counselors and having a blast, but I was making up games and having the best time with my newfound 7–8-year-old friends for the rest of camp. (Our game-building skills were next level at the dancing dragon bunk). I mean, who else gets to go to summer camp for their job?!Rachel, Senior Counselor
This is my 14th summer at camp and my 4th summer as a staff member at camp. What I love about camp is that it brought stability to my life. The admin team supports me and has helped create consistency in my schedule. I have learned so many professional skills over time. It’s a very active job and a job you can easily make great friends with other counselors. I’ve also been able to see my campers grow over time! Engaging in group activities with campers is one of the best parts of the job!Zach, Senior Counselor
When I first applied to be an Inclusion Counselor at JCamps, I never expected how valuable my time there would be. JCamps created a fun, interactive, and productive environment. They truly cared about every one of us and it showed. From team building exercises to collaborative problem solving, JCamps pushed us all to grow and develop. Work was always fun and uplifting, I had great mentors who were there for me every step of the way, and I made friends I will keep forever. The hands-on experience I gained and the relationships I formed made it an unforgettable summer experience.Sarah Bradley, Inclusion Counselor
